Despre carte

Detailing the programme's fascinating origins, this book reveals the personalities behind the ever-popular Countdown. As well as humorous profiles on the show's core presenters, there are insights into everyone involved with the show: from the production executives to the audience warm up man. Spreading the Word takes the reader behind the scenes on the Countdown set for the very first time.

Following a typical day in the Countdown studio, author's (and the show's producers) Michael Wylie and Damian Eadie reveal the studio gaffs and cock-ups that never made it to air. From celebrity tales of their own Countdown experiences, through profiles of the Countdown Gods and Goddesses, to a nationwide tour of Countdown fans as the reader is taken on the road for the programme's auditions, meet all the people involved in making the programme the success it is. Packed full of anecdotes and stories, the experiences of everyone from the famous faces to those that never made it, this is an hilarious vivid and surprisi.
