Reading Gems, Words and Pictures Staff

When a spaceship arrives in Pete''s garden, he goes on an adventure - but will he be back in time for supper? This charming story about a boy''s journey into space and back explores themes of friendship and space adventure. Designed to spark a love of reading, Reading Gems is a supplementary reading programme that supports a child''s learning at school.

Featuring original stories, delightful characters and humorous illustrations, it is graded into four levels to perfectly suit a child''s reading ability from an emerging reader to a confident, independent reader. Parents and teachers can be reassured that children are reading books that support their ability, challenge their reading skills and encourage reading confidence with every word on the page. With comprehension activities and extra discussion topics to cement learning these books are loved by both children and parents and are perfect for supporting learning at school.
